Just so you know what to expect I’ve added a ‘currently working on’ box to the menu so you’ve some idea of what I’m doing when I’m quiet, although that usually just means something has come up in ‘life’ (I always think writers need to live two lifetimes to get everything done) or that I’m writing. Right now, it’s both. LOL.

I can’t go into details but I’m having ‘behind the scenes’ paperwork problems at the moment. Long story short, I need to provide information for my publisher, which entails me getting something to send to someone else, then waiting to hear back, etc. Gaggghhh. Yes, writing is not all fun, I assure you, so for now I’ve shelved my Swithin Spins. It doesn’t mean I won’t finish them, I’ve just been too stressed out to think of writing anything that is so directly tied to one publisher at the moment. If I write them in this frame of mind they won’t meet my expectations. I had finished the rough draft of the first book and was halfway through the second, so that’s a good place to pick up.I admit I’ve been so stressed with one thing or another — I’ve had three lots of ‘legal matters’ to sort out, including the fact that I am ‘post watching’ as I am in the midst of finalising my father’s estate (next time someone tells me something takes a year I’ll believe them) — that I didn’t write a word all week last week. I just couldn’t. The good news is that I felt a spark of inspiration so began a story for Aspen’s Del Fantasma series. I have no specific idea how long a work it will be but I imagine it falling into the novelette or novella range. I’ve not written a long work for AMP to date.

I’ve seen a holiday I very much want to go on and it’s on sale but I really don’t have the time. I have too many commitments and arrangements to make to contemplate going anywhere this year, but oh… I am sorely tempted. I am away this weekend for a break to celebrate my inlaws 50th Wedding Anniversary, and that’s something to celebrate indeed!
