Finally noble
Writing|On the writing side of things I’m happy to report that I’ve finally finished the rough draft of my next m/m contemporary book. Yes, I managed to battle my way through the ending. It will need edits but the story is done on…well, not paper. There on the screen. I suppose I should say I’m typing a story instead of writing one but the old phrases haunt your brain and seem more personal, not that I can imagine how people ever wrote whole novels with just a pen. My writing is eligible and memories of bashing away on an old manual typewriter are bad enough.
For those who want a progress check to date I’ve one story accepted (the 2nd Swithin Spin) with AMP and am waiting on edits. Anticipated publication date is September 18th. I’ve books 3 and 4 of the spins drafted but they require probably only a quick edit before I submit. And now I’ve the draft of this novel, which requires edits. I’ve more plans, including allocating some time to write outside of this market but my immediate intention is to take a couple of days to just go sit and read for a change! Hmm…maybe in my summerhouse? For those of you who are wondering what has kept me extra busy when I’m always already busy enough you can pop along to my photo section of my myspace page. There are photos of my garden and the great garage demolition project. In its place, I now have a summerhouse. The perfect spot to write now and then and definitely a great place to read. LOL. I am positive this weekend will be another busy one but it won’t be as backbreaking, that’s for certain, and some time to read would be nice.
And lastly, much to my surprise, some Loose Id authors noticed they were on the ebooks at Barnes and Noble, so I toddled along and tapped my name in certain I wouldn’t be on there: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/ebooks/index.asp. I’m happy to report that I am! I’m official. Some of my books are available through Barnes and Noble, although I believe one of the comet books may be missing. I’m told sometimes these things take time to trickle down so we shall see. Does this make me…gasp…an actual author?
