Red Traffic Light plus an old fashioned Q&A
New to the site, News|I’d love to give you an exciting update but the fact is I’m waiting. I’m waiting on edits from AMP for my Swithin Spin 2. I’ve been given a possible publication date for Sept 18th so, okay, I admit I’m getting antsy LOL but it’s not a long work and I do appreciate they were very full for their catalogue this year when I subbed it to them. This could be a bit of a rush and I’m gearing up. The waiting is an unfortunate distraction though.
More importantly, anything I change in book 2 could affect the continuity in the rest of the spins, which is why I’ve held off doing a personal edit on them. I’m currently writing something that should take me up to a week’s holiday on the 15th (actually would be the 5th and last ’spin’ if I’m happy with it but I may not even complete this. I’m just playing with ideas until I get to take a break and hopefully gain better concentration when I get back). After that I’ll chase the publisher for more info and hopefully start on the edit before subbing books 3 and possibly 4 to LI.
I’ve also drafted a new m/m contemporary — but again that needs a personal edit. And I’ve a feeling by the time I manage to send them all, my editor will be busy as usual (note to wannabe writers — editors often have a lapse in the summer so appreciate subs then, although of course if we all did that that wouldn’t hold true) so the works will likely end up queued, but I’m doing the best I can. As for the strange subject line, I just said to someone I feel as if I’ve been stuck in front of a red traffic light for a very long time. Head:Desk.
As I’ve a little time, I have added a Q&A section to my ‘Everything Else’ page. These are just my response to a few questions that have come my way from readers and other writers over time. I’ve always said people can ask me anything. Whether I choose to answer is another matter but if I don’t feel you’re being too personal and I can come up with something sensible to say the chances are I’ll reply. I hope you find some of the questions and my answers interesting.
